Sleep Coaching FAQs
+ When is the best time to begin sleep consulting?
We recommend beginning Sleep Consulting after your chid has reached 12 lbs. and around 3 months of age. But most importantly, the right time is whenever you are ready. We find the best results come when your child is healthy and not experiencing acute teething symptoms.
While our Sleep Consulting packages are intended for babies 3+ months, we also offer gentle sleep shaping programs to begin implementing a routine for your baby within a few weeks of birth!
+ Do you sleep coach toddlers?
Yes, we do! We typically work with children through 6 years of age. We take into account your child’s developmental stage and personality, and tailor a plan that fits their needs.
+ Is this a “Cry It Out” method?
We do not subscribe to a “Cry It Out” method! We know hearing your sweet baby cry is no fun, but we set the expectation that some tears of frustration are completely normal while developing new sleep skills. We work with you beforehand to put gentle practices in place that prepare your child for this change and set them up for success. We will talk through each scenario together and work with a plan that creates an environment conducive to healthy independent sleep for your child.
+ Do you sleep coach nursing babies?
Absolutely! A nursing baby can still learn independent sleep habits. This is part of why having a personalized sleep plans is so fantastic. We are able to work with your nursing schedule and incoprorate it into a healthy sleep schedule.
+ Will this really work?
Yes! Our methods are safe and effective. Our programs begin with a customized plan that include in-home or virtual support. Afterward, we provide an additional 2-4 weeks of ongoing support and information through scheduled follow-up calls and emails that ensure success.
